Get involved
Build a brighter future for us all by donating, volunteering, working with our students or becoming an industry partner.
Thanks to active participation, Swinburne Alumni has become a rich community that supports and benefits both its members and the university. By getting involved, you can help us too, and benefit in a number of ways.

Speed Mentoring program
The Alumni team is thrilled to have launched the Speed Mentoring program. Our students need your help!
What is Speed Mentoring?
Speed Mentoring connects Swinburne students with alumni professionals from around the world for informal one-off meetings. You will offer your insight, guidance and support in the transition from university to the workforce.
How does it work?
Once students and alumni have registered their profiles, our system automatically recommends matches between mentors (alumni) and mentees (students) based on the criteria and experience each has listed. Students then choose their own mentors and initiate a connection for a one-on-one 30-minute chat online, over the phone or in person*.
*Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we recommend that all connections take place virtually for the time being.
What’s in it for me?
It’s not 'all give and no take'. You get that warm fuzzy feeling of helping a student without the long-term mentoring commitment. You never know, you might be talking to your company’s future CEO.
- Showcase and share your professional experiences and career insights
- Provide support and guidance for our students entering the workplace
- Develop and refine your leadership skills
- Raise the profile of your own company or profession
- Gain access to the latest graduate talent and new ways of thinking
Am I the one?
The program is open to all Swinburne alumni and we’re looking for mentors from a diverse range of industries. A 30-minute chat can have a real impact on someone’s life.
