2024 Student Guide

Campus closure and contacts

Swinburne's Melbourne campuses will be closed over the holiday period:

  • Hawthorn: closed from 5pm Tuesday 24 November 2024 until 9am Thursday 2 January 2025. Student HQ and the Library will be closed, however the Latelab can be accessed with your swipe card between 26 December – 31 December 2024
  • Croydon and Wantirna: closed from 4pm Tuesday 24 November 2024 until 8am Thursday 2 January 2025. This includes the Library, Latelab and StudentHQ.
     

Over this time, the following points of contact are available: 

  • Call 000 in the event of an emergency  
  • campus security can be reached on 9214 3333 
  • the out-of-hours crisis line is available 1300 854 144 or SMS 0488 884 145 
  • international student after-hours assistance line is (+61 3) 9214 6741  
  • if you have a VTAC or change of preference enquiry over this period, please call 1300 794 628 (option 2) between 10am – 2pm (excluding weekends and public holidays).
It's time to enrol for 2025

Enrolments for 2025 are now open! If you’re a Higher Education or Vocational Education student, you can complete your enrolment now via My Swinburne (Swinburne College enrolment will open on Tuesday 26 November).

If you have been impacted by these events free support is available through Swinburne’s Health and Wellbeing Service, Multi Faith Centre, and the International Student Advisory & Support services dedicated to our international students. We want to assure you prejudice, racism, antisemitism and islamophobia will not be tolerated at Swinburne.
