Biography

I am a business academic, passionate about my profession, and believe that I can truly have an impact on the future of the world. Through academia, I have the opportunity to engage with a wide range of stakeholders in business and society to facilitate impact of my work. I am strongly committed to the quality of my outputs and activities.
I currently teach business innovation (undergraduate) and growth management (postgraduate). I am also working on developing an entrepreneurial ecosystem study tour for undergraduate students, and a start-up simulation game based unit for postgraduate students.
I engage in a variety of research topics, around entrepreneurship and economic development, and my publications circle around topics such as entrepreneurial behaviour, international entrepreneurship, competitiveness, SME growth and life-cycle, economic development, leadership and ethics, and specialised areas of consumer behavior.
My recent projects involve the Australian and Hungarian small business communities, the Victorian Indigenous community, senior entrepreneurs in Australia; and businesses, governments and civil society across Central and Eastern Europe. I am a professional member of AIB, AIB-CEE, ANZAM, EURAM, the Hungarian Economic Association and a member of the public body of Hungarian Academy of Sciences. I am active in PhD supervision and scholarly peer-reviewing.
I engage on a regular basis with entrepreneurs, start-ups, and other members of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. I personally participate in two start-ups, and provide advice to others. I am also a NAATI certified language professional (Hungarian & English), an adjunct academic at several institutions in Hungary.
