Biography

Informed by her experience as a legal practitioner in Australia and the UK - specialising in employment, discrimination, disability, and housing -  and then as the co-founder of a Latin America-based NGO working with local human rights organisations, Julie is a highly experienced, practice-informed, post-doctoral researcher with expertise in public policy, social enterprise, digital inclusion, the not-for-profit sector and regional Australia.

Julie brings experience in the design and delivery of highly interactive learning and knowledge-sharing initiatives including workshops, masterclasses, and community roundtables, and a strong project management skillset forged while managing complex, multi-partner, community development projects in Latin America and fine-tuned delivering collaborative research projects in Australia with partners from community, philanthropy, government, and industry.
