Biography

Lecturer in Nursing with expertise in Mental Health. Currently completing a PhD in vocational simulation-based education to train nurses with the KSAs required to care for Mental Health consumers. On the ISO committee to develop standards for AR and VR safe immersion, setup and usage Project managed for Swinburne Jasper VR Curve Tomorrow initiative for nursing. PAVE research lead for Safety at Work PBS and VR training for SCOPE LTD. Developing simulation initiatives in Nursing and Health courses including VR,AR ,mixed reality, manikin and simulated persons. Established and led the simulation program at Swinburne VE and Melbourne Polytechnic .Developed the simulation strategy, framework, model and teacher training program. Also developed and established a Simulated Person training program. Extensive experience in mental health as a registered nurse. Masters in nursing mental health from Latrobe University .Lecturer nursing and mental health HE and VE. Academic Developer HE. Steering Committee member SCOPE and Curve.
Current passion :simulation based learning in Higher education and Vocational education offering an effective and contemporary applied educational technique to teach clinical reasoning and critical thinking and twenty first century skills to students
