BIO

Dr. Rohan Shah is an early career researcher and academic in the Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology, teaching in the Bachelor of Science and Master of Science (Biotechnology) programs, and a Visiting Research Scientist at CSIRO. He completed his PhD at Swinburne University, supported by the Victoria-India Doctoral Scholarship, and was awarded the Sparrho Early Career Researcher Prize for his work on lipid nanoparticles. His research focuses on nanomedicine, targeted drug delivery systems, and antimicrobial peptides, addressing global health challenges such as antibiotic resistance and advancing novel therapeutic delivery methods. Dr. Shah applies systems biology and metabolomics to explore innovative solutions in biotechnology, with a focus on sustainable technologies in food and environmental science. Dr. Shah has secured significant research funding and collaborates extensively with national and international teams. He is a registered Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Council of India and a Chartered Member of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI), where he has also served as the Treasurer of the Early Career Chemists Group (ECCG) in Victoria. He continues to contribute to the scientific community through his editorial roles, having served as a guest associate editor for Frontiers in Sustainable Food Systems and currently serving as a guest editor for Metabolites. He is also an associate editor for Food Science and Nutrition Cases and Frontiers for Young Minds.
