BIO
Professor Duncan Forbes is an astronomer with Swinburne’s Centre for Astrophysics and Supercomputing. His areas of expertise include globular cluster systems and the formation of early-type galaxies.
Professor Forbes was Deputy Director for the Centre for Astrophysics and Supercomputing between 2005 and 2008. From 2013-2015 he was an ARC DORA Fellow, and in 2009 he also held a role as an ARC International Fellow. His experience includes working as a project scientist for the Faulkes Telescope. He has served on various national and international committees.
