Overview

Swinburne's UniLink Bridging Program is a pathway program designed to equip international students with the knowledge, skills and capabilities required for entry into a UniLink diploma.

Study structure

Successful completion of the UniLink Bridging Program requires students to complete units of study to the value of 50 credit points. All units of study are valued at 12.5 credit points unless otherwise stated.

  • Full-time study: 100 credit points/eight standard units of study per year

  • Part-time study: 50 credit points/four standard units of study per year

  • One credit point is equivalent to one hour of study per week per semester (including contact hours and private study)

  • One credit point is equivalent to one hour of study per week per semester (including contact hours and private study)

Complete 25 credit points (two units) from one discipline. Students should choose:

  • the Design discipline for entry into Diploma of Design (UniLink)
  • the Engineering / Science discipline for entry into Diploma of Engineering (UniLink) or Diploma of Science (UniLink)
  • the General discipline* for entry into any other UniLink diplomas.


*Students must complete one core unit between CMS00001 and MTH00011.

Students are advised to choose these electives, as they might serve as pre-requisites for your progression into a diploma or bachelor course.

After completion of the chosen UniLink diploma and subsequent bachelor degree, graduates may find employment in a wide range of industries and associated areas, including arts and communication, business, design, engineering, health science, information technology and science.
