Study with a Swinburne partner in your home country
At Swinburne, our international partnerships allow us to offer a range of courses to students outside of Australia. Upon successful completion, you will gain an Australian qualification.
East Asia
The Chinese Ministry of Education officially approved the Sino-Foreign Joint Degree Program application between IMUFE and Swinburne in June 2016, which was launched under a 2+2 model with the first enrolment in September 2016.
Under this model, the first two years of teaching are carried out at IMUFE with eight guest teaching units provided by Swinburne. The final two years are completed at Swinburne's Hawthorn campus. Upon successful completion of the 2+2 model, students will be awarded a Bachelor of Management (Accounting) from IMUFE and a Bachelor of Accounting from Swinburne.
This Sino-Foreign Joint Degree Program was approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education in 2012 to be launched in a 3+1 mode with the first cohort enrolled in September 2012. Upon successful completion of the 3+1 program, students are awarded degrees from both NJUCM and Swinburne.
The first three years are carried out at NJUCM with eight guest teaching units provided by Swinburne. The final year of the Bachelor of Business (Health Management and Communication) is completed at Swinburne's Hawthorn campus.
In 2018, Swinburne partnered with SDUST to seek approval to establish a joint institution in China. This joint application was approved in December 2020 by the Ministry of Education in Beijing.
Swinburne and SDUST offer various joint-degree models with guest teaching from Swinburne academics and capacity building at SDUST. This will lead to the development of a comprehensive joint insitute where, in the long term, the degrees will be jointly delivered entirely in China.
One example of the current models is 2+2 for bachelor degrees, where the first two years are carried out at SDUST and the final two years at Swinburne's Hawthorn campus. Similar models are available for master degrees.
SDUST to Swinburne
In partnership with the HKU Space, Swinburne offers a Bachelor of Aviation Management top-up program. Eligible students from the Higher Diploma in Aviation Studies can complete eight Swinburne units to complete the Bachelor of Aviation Management.
This degree is catered for students in Hong Kong who seek to bring innovation to the aviation industry. Students will have the opportunity to take part in a study tour to Swinburne campus in Australia and receive practical flying experience.
South Asia
Swinburne's partnership with NCHS has given students in Sri Lanka the opportunity to take part in the Swinburne Foundation Program and the UniLink diploma pathway program in their home country.
Upon completion of these pathways, students can transfer directly into a number of undergraduate degrees offered on Swinburne's Hawthorn campus.

South East Asia
In 2020, Swinburne partnered with INTI International University and Colleges to deliver our Swinburne degrees in West Malaysia. The programs run in two teaching locations with March and July intakes.

In 2019, Swinburne partnered with FPT University to deliver Swinburne degrees in Vietnam. The first intake of the joint program commenced in Hanoi (September 2019), followed by Ho Chi Minh City (September 2021) and Da Nang (September 2022). There are three intakes each year for these degrees:
