Step into your Startup Year (Graduate Diploma of Entrepreneurship) and enter a world of ideas, innovation and opportunity. In this hands-on program you’ll be supported by academics and industry experts to master every stage of the entrepreneurial journey. Develop business concepts in cutting-edge spaces, solve pressing problems with real-world solutions and learn how to communicate confidently with potential investors.
Study structure
Successful completion of the Graduate Diploma of Entreprenuership requires students to complete units of study to the value of 100 credit points. All units of study are valued at 12.5 credit points unless otherwise stated.
- Full-time study: 100 credit points/eight standard units of study per year
Part-time study: 50 credit points/four standard units of study per year
One credit point is equivalent to one hour of study per week per semester (including contact hours and private study)

Aims and objectives
On successful completion of this Course students will be able to :
- Critically analyse entrepreneurial opportunities and evaluate for diverse contexts
- Apply critical thinking and creative problem solving to address complex problems in entrepreneurial ventures, organisations and broader society
- Proficiently lead entrepreneurial projects by applying professional knowledge and skills in an entrepreneurial discipline context
- Synthesise and apply professional discipline knowledge and skills to achieve success in entrepreneurial ventures in both new and established organisations
- Expertly apply responsible and accountable decision-making to model professional integrity in a sustainable global context
- Model accountability, adaptability, and agency to foster reflexive professional practice as an entrepreneur.
- Communicate proficiently to diverse audiences including First Nations using the tools and practices of entrepreneurship
Career opportunities
Graduates will have the skills to start and/or develop new enterprises or drive innovative thinking within an organisation. Graduates may find careers in business management, business and venture analysis, consultancy and as an owner operator of their own business.
Course rules
To qualify for the award of Graduate Diploma of Entrepreneurship, students must complete 100 credit points comprising:
- Six (6) core units
Maximum Academic Credit
The maximum level of credit that can be granted for the Graduate Diploma of Entrepreneurship is 50 credit points (normally four units).
