What is Startup Year?

Swinburne’s Startup Year (aka the Graduate Diploma of Entrepreneurship) is an year-long program covering all stages of the entrepreneurial journey - a course designed for the next generation of change makers and problem solvers. We’ll teach you to bring an idea to life through theory-based learning, with mentorship from industry experts and academics every step of the way.

Now for the details – here’s what you need to know:

  • Startup Year is available to start in Semester 2, 2024, 

  • It’s designed for students completing their undergraduate degree in Semester 1, 2024, as well as postgrad students and people who have graduated.

  •  Undergraduate students will need to successfully complete their bachelor to be accepted into the course.

  • Startup Year is an Australian Government supported initiative, with STARTUP-HELP loans and income support available to eligible students.
