Vocation education fee documents

As a vocational education student, your fees vary depending on the course you study and whether you're eligible for a government-subsidised place. 

If you don't qualify for a subsidy, you need to pay the full fees for the units that make up your course. You can find the full fee costs in the following documents.

VET Tuition Assurance Exemption

In very rare circumstances, courses may be discontinued. Swinburne has granted an exemption from VET Tuition Assurance requirements under the Higher Education Support Act 2003.

Before discontinuing a VET course, we will consult with any students that will be affected and consider all feedback before making a decision. 

If your VET course is discontinued, we'll work with you to find the best possible outcome from the following options:

  • Transition you into a mutually agreed alternative course or suitable replacement VET course at Swinburne (or another VET provider).
  • Assist you to complete your course through a supported/modified learning program. 
  • Offer you a refund for any up-front fees and remit any VET FEE-HELP balances where your units cannot be credited into a replacement course.
