Calling all Swinburne students, staff, alumni, industry and community partners! Swinburne Pride Week is a chance to celebrate and support our strong, diverse and inclusive community, with a host of engaging activities and online activations. And you’re invited to join the fun!

This year’s theme is #EveryDayPride, celebrating our commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for our LGBTIQ+ community – not just during Pride Week, but every day.

Join us in promoting LGBTIQ+ awareness and inclusion, and in celebrating pride at Swinburne.

Creating Safe Communities and Environments – Panel event introducing Swinburne’s new Ally Network
2pm

In August, Swinburne staff and students, in partnership with representatives from Richmond Football Club and Pride in Diversity, held workshops and discussions on building an effective ally network.

As a result of this work, we are excited to launch our Ally network during Swinburne Pride week. To celebrate the Ally network launch, we are hosting a panel discussion on “Creating Safe Communities and Environments”.

The event will be an opportunity to discuss experiences, perspectives and ideas around what makes communities, environments and cultures inclusive and safe for people of diverse sexualities, sexes and gender identities. The event will be a friendly and relaxed online event where conversation and ideas are encouraged.
