Aviation info session
Time: arrive between 4:30pm and 5:00pm for 5:00pm start
Duration: 60 minutes + 30 minutes networking

Taster sessions
Ever wanted to sample a subject or study area before you apply? Join a VTAC Info Night taster sessions and dip your toe into the world of studying with Swinburne – be it in design, science, IT, or something else.
Taster sessions will run for 30 minutes and will begin at 4.30pm. Students wanting to attend a taster session will need to arrive at 4.15.
LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® | Business
Time: 4:15pm arrival for 4:30pm start
Duration: 30 minutes
Join this hands-on session and use LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® to create models and make meaning through storytelling while fostering conversation, creativity, and imagination.
Super Snail | Design
Time: 4:15pm arrival for 4:30pm start
Duration: 30 minutes
Meet the concept of biomimicry with Swinburne’s design department and sketch elements to Snail to help make it go faster (reverse biomimicry).
Digital Anatomy Lab | Health
Time: 4:15pm arrival for 4:30pm start
Duration: 30 minutes
Ever seen an iPad as big as a human body? You’ll find one in Swinburne’s anatomy lab, where students learn by interacting with life-size anatomy tables – as well as virtual and augmented reality technologies.
Test Your Cyber Attack Skills | IT
Time: 4:15pm arrival for 4:30pm start
Duration: 30 minutes
Our work lives, personal lives, and finances are all linked to the world of the internet and mobile computing. In this workshop, learn how to test for some common vulnerabilities and see how a hacker might break into a website.
Fighting Fake News | Media and Communications
Time: 4:15pm arrival for 4:30pm start
Duration: 30 minutes
Get your hands dirty with the online tools and techniques journalists use to verify photos and videos that come across the news desk during big breaking stories.
Psychology Insights | Psychology
Time: 4:15pm arrival for 4:30pm start
Duration: 60 minutes
Take part in a series of demonstrations to learn about different aspects of psychology, including cognition, perception, and counselling.
Please note: This taster session will run for 60 minutes.
Astro Tour | Science
Time: 4:15pm arrival for 4:30pm start
Duration: 30 minutes
Physics explains the world we live in – and the one we don't (yet). Take a flight through the solar system and beyond in the Swinburne Virtual Reality Theatre.
