Session details

You’ll attend not one, but two different workshops and see how you could explore your passion for creativity at Swinburne. Choose from:

Get an overview of Swinburne’s screen and media courses, including sports media and animation specialisations. Then, try some of the techniques our screen and media students use to tell stories on screens big and small.

This workshop will take you through a simple design process to create your very own character, from concept drawings on paper to sculpture to final character figure.

What makes a product marketable? In this workshop you’ll learn tips and tricks from an expert designer, then hit the design space to create and pitch your own unique, innovative product.

Introducing the exciting field of applied sustainable fashion. Create your own tech-inspired fashion designs based on futuristic concepts and materials like smart fabrics, wearable technologies, and sustainable materials.

See how architects combine simple materials with advanced technology to create abstract designs. Push the limits of your creativity as you explore 2D and 3D forms in imaginary spaces.

According to traditional Aboriginal beliefs, the Bunyip is a man-eating monster that lives in waterways throughout Australia. But what does it look like? Create your own collage using experimental image-making techniques and materials to bring your Bunyip to life.

Take on an interior design brief, assess the floor plan, then create and photograph your own materials board to wow your ‘client’. You’ll also hear about career opportunities you can explore as a Swinburne interior design student.

This workshop introduces you to one of the core tasks of the game designer: to understand game mechanics and play dynamics, and how to apply your own creativity.

Dive into the world of immersive media and emerging technologies. Explore interactive technologies like 360 video, plus virtual, augmented and mixed reality experiences.
