Am I considered a Swinburne College student?

You are part of Swinburne College if you are studying a UniLink diploma, the UniLink Bridging Program, the Swinburne Foundation Program, the Postgraduate Qualifying Program (PQP) or English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS).

We're here to help

The Swinburne College Student Hub is here to help you reach your academic goals. Receive educational advice, access workshops to improve learning and connect with our academic advisors who are here to support you and your specific needs.

The hub is not only a study place, but also a social space where you can be part of a community, feel safe and connect with other students.

Academic support

Connect with our advisors who are here to provide academic support through workshops, study tips and additional help with your classwork, such as assignment planning and preparing for presentations and exams.

Peer-assisted learning

Peer-assisted learning connects you with a Swinburne College student ambassador to further support you during your studies. These discipline-specific sessions give you the opportunity to collaborate one-on-one or in small groups lead by student ambassadors in areas such as accounting, maths, statistics, information and communication technology, and health sciences.

Student pathway support

We provide guidance in helping you find the right pathway to get you to where you need. We assist with enrolment and getting you started with your studies, as well as course changes.

We will also help connect you to Swinburne’s student support services for additional support at Swinburne, such as health and wellbeing and AccessAbility services.

English language support

In addition to the ELICOS and Group English programs we run, we offer support for international students in developing and supporting their English language capabilities and transitioning from learning English to studying in English.

We provide support through:

  • workshops in academic writing
  • workshops for improving reading and listening skills
  • one-on-one appointments for proofreading
  • plagiarism checks for work and assignments
  • Conversation Club to help improve conversational skills and confidence.
