Aoyama Gakuin University is a competitive destination. As such, please put careful consideration into choosing your second and third preference as back-up options.
Students applying to AGU need to meet the following requirements:
- Completed at least 1 year of study at Swinburne (in their current degree) at the time of application;
- Have a minimum 2.5 GPA (very strict requirement)
Japanese language requirements
Aoyama campus
- Japanese proficiency is not required if students are only taking English-taught courses.
Sagamihara campus
- For College of Science & Engineering or College of Community Studies; or School of Social Informatics: you must have studied Japanese for more than 1 year, and have Japanese language ability equivalent to the N5 JLPT.
- For School of Global Studies and Collaboration: Japanese proficiency is not required if students are only taking English-taught courses. If you are studying any classes in Japanese, then you must have studied Japanese for more than 1 year, and have Japanese language ability equivalent to the N5 JLPT.

Students can study at either the Aoyama campus or the Sagamihara campus.

18 credits = 50 CP
14 credits = 37.5 CP
