In celebration of World Ranger Day on 31 July 2024, Swinburne University of Technology's Children's University program is proud to announce a new partnership with Parks Victoria.
This collaboration aims to provide Children's University members with unique opportunities to explore Victoria's parks, reserves and waterways, helping to foster a deeper understanding of how to protect and care for these natural environments.
Children's University encourages a love of learning through extracurricular opportunities for students aged 7-14, and engaging volunteer programs for students aged 15-18.
Through this partnership, students can broaden their skills and experiences, connecting with the natural world around them and exploring potential career pathways in environmental stewardship and conservation.
Manager of Children’s University at Swinburne, Vera Gin, says she is delighted about the new partnership.
"This collaboration with Parks Victoria offers our young learners the chance to engage with nature in meaningful ways, enhancing their educational journey and inspiring them to become future environmental stewards."
Parks Victoria cares for over 3,000 parks and reserves across Victoria, including significant cultural heritage sites and unique ecosystems.
