The Swinburne Psychology Clinic provides a wide range of psychological assessment services for children, adolescents and adults.
All tests are administered by trained post-graduate students and their work is supervised by experienced professional staff.
Those who complete an assessment are provided with a detailed report of and a follow-up interview to interpret the results.
Assessments can be useful to help select a career, understand problems at school, objectively measure personal strengths and weaknesses and to develop a greater personal understanding and insight. The assessments available at the Psychology Clinic are:
The Psychology Clinic conducts a range of low-cost psychological assessments that measure an individual's level of intelligence and identify their intellectual strengths and weakness. The tests used are valid and reliable and can be conducted with individuals aged 2.5 to 89 years.
Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence (WPPSI)
The Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence is a comprehensive measure of a young child's intellectual ability. The assessment involves game-like activities, as well as age-specific subtests.
Test age range: 2.5 - 7 years

Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC)
The Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children is a comprehensive measure of a child's intellectual ability. The assessment involves a powerful set of 16 optional process-oriented subtests that assess different facets intelligence.
Test age range: 6 -16 years

Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS)
The Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale is a comprehensive measure of an adult's intellectual ability that includes a full scale IQ score in addition to index scores that measure different facets of intelligence.

Weschler Individual Achievement Test (WIAT)
The Wechsler Individual Achievement Test is an achievement test measure how an individual is going in certain areas of academic school work. The WIAT gives a good overall summary of functioning in the following areas: reading, maths, written language and oral language.
Test age range: 4 - 85 years

Wechsler Memory Scale (WMS)
The Wechsler Memory Scale (WMS) is a comprehensive measure of adult memory functioning and assessed both auditory and visual memory. The results of a memory assessment help an individual develop effective strategies to retain information to aid future learning processes. Research into the WMS has found the psychological assessment tool to be valid and reliable. The results from the test can also be used to provide further insight into an individual's performance on the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale.
