Course description
This Certificate IV in Disability is ideal for those who want to work with people with disabilities in a range of services in both residential and community-based settings.
You'll gain the skills and knowledge required to assist in empowering people with disabilities to be more independent, and participate in community and recreational activities, whilst ensuring a client-centred approach.
Study areas include person-centred practice; facilitating community participation; recognising healthy body systems; and, legal and ethical compliance.

- All applicants must be a minimum of 18 years old at the commencement of the course
- All students must hold a current Working with Children Check throughout the duration of the program
- All students must hold a current Police Check throughout the duration of the program* (* If a candidate believes there would be a disclosable issue on their Police Check, a confidential conversation will be required prior to enrolment to determine suitability for work within the community services environment)
- All students must hold a current National Disability Insurance Scheme Screening Check (NDIS) throughout the duration of the program
- All students must provide proof that they have appropriate vaccinations, including COVID-19
- Applicants will need to demonstrate literacy and numeracy competencies
