Course description
One of the unique aspects of the graduate certificate is that lecturers from a number of universities contribute to this teaching. This provides a range of diverse views and ideas and broadens the students' understanding of the human factors domain.
Please note that students must have access to the internet as materials are delivered online.
International students in Australia who hold student visas are required to study full-time and on campus. Courses that are taught entirely online are only available to international students studying outside Australia or those in Australia who are not on a student visa. Online courses are not available to international students in Australia who hold a student visa.

The maximum level of credit that can be granted for the Graduate Certificate of Aviation (Human Factors) award is 25 credit points (normally two units)

Entry requirements
To be eligible for consideration for entry, candidates would normally be university graduates with a minimum Bachelor qualification (AQF level 7) in any of the following disciplines: Aviation; Engineering; Business; Economics; Management; Law; Marketing; Science; Technology; Psychology; Social Science; or other disciplines assessed to be appropriate.
* Relevant industry experience: If this includes work experience, documents substantiating work experience need to be provided on company letterhead and clearly detail roles as well as duties and duration of posts held.
English language requirements
Satisfactory completion of one of the following:
- IELTS overall band of 6.5 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0
- Swinburne’s English for Academic Purposes (EAP 5 Advanced level) with overall 70%, all skills 65%
- Or equivalent measures available at English language requirements.
