Overview

This unit incorporates the application of statistical analysis tools to business problems, which is considered an essential skill for competitive advantage. This unit focuses on the application of statistical tools and concepts to real-world decision making in order to motivate students to learn, understand, utilise and communicate business statistics appropriately. To enhance students’ appreciation of the power of statistics emphasis is placed on calculator and computer based analysis. In particular this unit provides students with knowledge of statistical techniques and skills to analyse and interpret the results of statistical analysis.
