Overview

This unit aims to teach students the key concepts of business process analysis, modelling and management, and their importance to an organisation. Students will learn how these processes support a wide range of business activities including activities involving external organisations such as occurs in supply-chain management. The skills required to model business processes will be taught, with a focus on ensuring that the logic of the model reflects the real-world industry case it is representing. Business process management approaches, methodologies and modelling techniques will be discussed and the insights they afford organisations will be explored through real world industry cases.
