Overview
This unit aims to expand on student’s knowledge and skills in compositing visual elements. Students will be given the opportunity to explore various techniques using digital tools and encouraged to develop independent study, research and development skills. Skills and knowledge may be applied to commercial outcomes in the film, special effects, animation and computer game industries.

Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
- Use language and terminology specific to post production and compositing in supporting project material
- Illustrate meaning and mood through a digital video composite
- Integrate compositing techniques, principles and workflows in the production of digital video outcome
- Compose a digital video outcome that combines sound and visual elements
- Evaluate planning, research and management strategies in a technical journal
