Overview

This unit of study aims to introduce students to the underlying fundamentals as well applications of system analysis, signal processing theories and methods as well as their applications for various mechanical systems These will be focused on vector calculus, Laplace transforms and Fourier series for analysing mechanical systems; digital filters, time and frequency domain analysis, and emerging technologies in data-driven computation. The unit will also equip students with hands-on design skills through virtual laboratory.
