Medibank Next_Gen Scholarship 2025

Through the Medibank Next_Gen Scholarships, Medibank will support International students who are innovative, driven, globally minded, and motivated by a desire to create change and solve real world problems. Scholarships are open to 2nd year International Students completing their undergraduate studies within the School of Health Sciences, School of Business, Law & Entrepreneurship or School of Social Sciences, Media, Film and Education.
Courses eligible
Any undergraduate degree offered by Swinburne University of Technology within the following schools;
- Health Sciences
- Business, Law & Entrepreneurship
- Social Sciences, Media, Film and Education.
Pathway Students who have competed a Diploma of Nursing at Swinburne University and commencing in their 1st year, Bachelor of Nursing are welcome to apply.
Eligibility / selection criteria
To be eligible for the MediBank Nex_Gen Scholarship, applicants must:
- Meet the following criteria:
- be an International student who is not a recipient of a Swinburne International Scholarship.
- Meet the following enrolment criteria:
- be a commencing second year student at Swinburne in Semester 1, 2025; or
- a Swinburne Pathway Diploma of Nursing student who is commencing their 1st year of a Bachelor's degree
- enrolled full-time in an eligible course (see courses eligible in section above).
- studying on-campus.
- Provide evidence of educational disadvantage. Disadvantage(s) may include:
- financial difficulty or low-socio economic status
- disability or on-going medical condition
- personal hardship circumstances.
- Provide a personal statement of 500 words or less, or 2 minute video, outlining:
- your passion and commitment to study
- how this scholarship will help you achieve your educational goals
- describe involvement with university life.
- Please upload your video to cloud based storage and provide a link in an MS Word or PDF document. The video must be accessible by anyone - provide any passwords if necessary.
- Provide supporting evidence outlining any university and/or community participation, extra-curricular activities, service to the community, sporting participation and/or leadership experience.
Value
These scholarships are valued at $10,000 for one year only, paid bi-annually. There are 9 available.
Students who apply must not be a recipient of a Swinburne International Scholarship.

Applicants should complete an online application form and submit with all supporting documentation by 16 March 2025.
