Overview

This unit aims to equip Swinburne graduates with the skills, competencies, capabilities, experiences and attributes which will maximise their potential to secure employment and progress their careers. It provides students with essential career planning and career management skills, knowledge and expertise, focussing on ‘employability’ in the context of the 21st century world-of-work. The design in this unit of study intends to develop in students the capability to gain employment and manage and progress their careers. The unit compliments discipline-specific professional portfolios, providing opportunities for students to critically reflect on skills and strengths, market themselves effectively online, in a resume and at job interviews.
