
Immersive Screen Narratives
Overview
Immersive Screen Narratives introduces students to contemporary and emerging screen production practices with a focus on immersive video and spatial audio. Students will explore how immersive video and spatial audio redefines the traditional screen experience to inform project development. Students will learn a range of production techniques to produce their own immersive storytelling experience. This unit supports students to reflect on the viewer experience for immersive platforms.

Learning outcomes
Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
- Identify key concepts and principles of immersive video and spatial audio
- Operate immersive video and spatial audio production equipment using key functions and controls
- Implement industry standard production techniques, principles and workflows in the development of an immersive storytelling experience
- Critically reflect on viewer experience in the context of immersive video and spatial audio
- Effectively participate, communicate, collaborate and project manage as part of a creative team
