Secondary Curriculum and Pedagogy 2
Overview
This unit advances pre-service teachers’ readiness for teaching their two discipline areas in secondary school contexts. They undertake guided and independent investigations to advance their knowledge and skills in planning, teaching and assessment. They examine purposeful ways to include the general capabilities, cross curriculum priorities, numeracy, literacy and ICT in their subject areas. Pre-service teachers further evaluate contemporary approaches to secondary teaching and learning that support the inclusion of diverse students across a range of abilities.
