Industry Innovation Project
Overview
This unit aims to bring students from multiple disciplines together in interdisciplinary teams to apply their disciplinary knowledge and skills to deliver recommendations and/or outcomes for an industry or community partner. Students will build confidence and prepare for the future world of work by: - Working in interdisciplinary teams to problem-solve and innovate; - Developing project management and collaboration skills; and - Engaging in reflection and career development learning to develop their professional identity and understanding of how disciplinary knowledge and skills can be applied in various contexts.

Learning outcomes
Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
- Analyse a problem or challenge presented by an industry/community partner
- Synthesise and apply ideas from various disciplines to develop potential solutions or recommendations for an industry/community partner
- Implement project management strategies to complete a project for an industry/community partner
- Identify and apply appropriate communication strategies for different stakeholders
- Reflect on working in an interdisciplinary team and learning and self-evaluate for improved practice and career development.
