Overview

This unit aims to bring students from multiple disciplines together in interdisciplinary teams to apply their disciplinary knowledge and skills to deliver recommendations and/or outcomes for an industry or community partner. Students will build confidence and prepare for the future world of work by: - Working in interdisciplinary teams to problem-solve and innovate; - Developing project management and collaboration skills; and - Engaging in reflection and career development learning to develop their professional identity and understanding of how disciplinary knowledge and skills can be applied in various contexts.

  • Synthesise and apply ideas from various disciplines to develop potential solutions or recommendations for an industry/community partner
  • Implement project management strategies to complete a project for an industry/community partner
  • Identify and apply appropriate communication strategies for different stakeholders
  • Reflect on working in an interdisciplinary team and learning and self-evaluate for improved practice and career development.
