Learning outcomes

Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:

  • Critically analyse common assessments used with injury, chronic and complex conditions
  • Describe the pathophysiology associated with injury, chronic and complex conditions and select the most appropriate treatment modality or sources
  • Apply knowledge of the sub-disciplines of exercise science to specific complex, chronic disease and injured populations to demonstrate clinical reasoning in the selection of appropriate exercise assessment and prescription for treatment and rehabilitation
  • Communicate information effectively for clients, coaches or other allied health and medical professionals
