At Swinburne College, we help students take the next step towards their destination degree to reach their full potential. Our pathway and English language courses help students develop their academic and English language skills in order to meet university entry requirements – no matter where they are in their study journey.
Our students receive targeted and personalised support and learning from experienced educators who specialise in pathway delivery – helping them to develop fundamental academic skills for immediate and future success.
What are pathway courses?
Pathway courses are alternative programs for students who don’t directly qualify for entry into a university degree that provide support and development to students to meet university requirements.
Student support
Swinburne College students have access to general support services which are available to every student at Swinburne University of Technology.
We also offer specific support services to further enhance our students’ academic knowledge, provide English language support and offer guidance on pathways into university.
These support services can be delivered by both our academic advisors and student ambassadors through our Swinburne College Student Hub.

Our pathway and English language courses include:
- UniLink diplomas available to international and domestic* students for entry into a bachelor degree
- UniLink Bridging Program available to international students for entry into a UniLink diploma
- Swinburne Foundation Program available to international students for entry into a bachelor degree or UniLink diploma
- Postgraduate Qualifying Program available to international students for entry into a master degree
- English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS)
- Group English Programs – tailored short-term programs for university students, government bodies and professional groups
*Domestic students may be eligible to receive Commonwealth support for UniLink diplomas.
