Overview

Promoting fashion through branding is vital to a fashion label’s success. This unit will investigate the broad and rapidly developing field of fashion branding and will provide entrepreneurial skills to launch a new, bespoke fashion label. This unit will concentrate on the use of branding, styling, and marketing to convey and promote fashion.

Learning outcomes

Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:

  • Identify the role of fashion media in psychological obsolescence and its impact on fashion trends and consumption patterns
  • Use research and analytical skills to develop a brand strategy within the competitive fashion market
  • Create a fashion brand utilising visual communication solutions
  • Develop business plans and marketing strategies required to launch the proposed product brand
  • Utilise digital platforms and technologies for fashion brand promotion and management
