Industry Workshops
Overview
This unit introduces a range of industry standard practices, including design presentation and production processes for print and screen communications. It includes workflow for production, methods of selection, sourcing and specifying of material and/or process suppliers and manufacturers in relation to a design project. Various aspects of production will be explored, including articulating designs to manufacturers, software and design methods that support design as activity for production, mass production or one to-many communications. This unit develops professional presentation and communication skills. Students develop a portfolio, proposal writing, presentations and workshops in preparation for professional practice.
