Overview
This unit enables students to extend their skills acquired in previous units of study and apply them to complex communication problems. Students will extend their skills with advanced exploration and use of image making and photomedia techniques to achieve sophisticated individual outcomes. Through planned systematic research, students will analyse, interpret and create innovative solutions that will extend and consolidate their scope that spans a range of photomedia.

Learning outcomes
Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
- Examine forms of image capture methods and technical experimentation (including aspects of visual and media semiotics, photography, imaging, digital illustration)
- Create an integrated media display or presentation in a visual communication design context
- Research and critically evaluate their chosen topic
- Apply relevant knowledge, and appropriate design methods, processes and techniques to the development of a final, highly-resolved, integrated design outcome
