Overview

This unit enhances collaborative and project management skills and explores the scope of UX Interaction Design. Working individually and in groups, students will develop professional level, fully resolved design outcomes. This unit is designed to familiarize students with group dynamics, project management and UX Interaction Design in real-world contexts. Utilising research and conceptual problem solving, students will work across a range of technologies and apply commercial design tools, processes, and methodologies.

Learning outcomes

Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:

  • Apply appropriate conceptualising and problem solving methods and processes to develop a commercial quality UX Interaction Design project in response to a specified design brief
  • Apply a range of technologies and commercial design tools, processes, and methodologies to develop professional level, fully resolved UX Interaction Design outcomes
  • Plan the investigative process applying professional quality assurance methods to design practice, user experience, technical and content requirements
  • Critically evaluate outcomes of the project, including the environmental impact and sustainability of the outcome, through concise, coherent and well-structured documentation, design outcomes, and presentations
  • Demonstrate professional competencies in the field of UX Interaction Design, by composing a coherent body of research and project outcomes that can be used for professional engagement
