Overview

This unit consolidates relevant theory and technical skills while raising awareness of the multiple commercial applications of screen-based media. Working in groups, students will conduct targeted research, and apply pre-production strategies for the development of a fully resolved screen-based media project.

Learning outcomes

Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:

  • Apply digital information and digital technical literacy skills to inform the creation of professional-standard digital media projects within a WIL context.
  • Use media production equipment and technologies to facilitate production workflows for the creation of digital media assets.
  • Evaluate and implement screen production development strategies to aid the production of audio/visual assets.
  • Produce digital screen content through researched, planned and competently managed production and post-production workflows.
  • Apply communication skills and collaborative practices through the active participation in industry teamwork roles and processes based on Screen Production industry practices
