The unit brings together the theory and practice of creating content using video by learning different story telling techniques and basic production skills for video news, information and documentary content.

Learning outcomes
Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
- Critically analyse and discuss an issue specific to the investigation and production of image and video for news and information media industries
- Design and implement a video journalism project in a systematic, rigorous and ethical way, with subsequent evaluation and critical reflection of the work process
- Identify and apply digital and online media production processes to create video products with a high level of personal and professional accountability
- Apply an advanced understanding of theoretical concepts around news audiences, production and narrative to create and communicate a large scale video project
