Overview
This unit engages students in scientific research related to health and medical technology. Students will develop independent learning in this capstone unit through planning and managing a novel research project.

Learning outcomes
Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
- Gather and synthesise scientific literature to plan a research question
- Design a research project that uses appropriate research methods, ethical standards, and regulatory frameworks to address a research question
- Manage the research project using project- and self-management techniques, to collect and analyse data
- Communicate the results of the research project
