Overview
Students undertaking a social media project are supervised in both the design and implementation of an industry project or can choose to undertake work experience. This subject is designed to extend the skills acquired by students in the social media major and to provide them with an opportunity to gain experience in the workplace.

Learning outcomes
Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
- Demonstrate advanced understanding of social media industries, roles and practices using an industry focussed project proposal
- Indicate advanced practitioner attributes in professional social media practices and engagement with industry partners to complete a work related project or experience
- Exercise initiative and ethical judgment in planning, problem solving and decision making in professional practice and project implementation
- Use professional collaboration and teamwork skills to work professionally in relation to team members and industry partners
- Evaluate and critically reflect on professional practice, project implementation and management in an industry context
