Overview

Students in this unit will learn how to report, write, record, shoot and deliver news and information across a range of online and multiplatform media. Students will develop a detailed critical understanding of the concepts of multiplatform production and practice. They will also acquire competence in a range of writing and publishing practices in online and multiplatform environments.

Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:

  • Critically analyse and evaluate the range of networked resources used in contemporary multiplatform practice and production
  • Use multiplatform tools and techniques to create integrated media content in a significant online publication
  • Research and critically evaluate ways to repurpose and diversify written, image and audio content across industry-adopted publishing
  • Synthesise and review research and practical tools to demonstrate conceptual skills that allow adaptation of creative work for a range of platforms
