This unit introduces you to the theory and practice of nursing leadership critically reflecting on the influence of nursing leadership in healthcare. The unit enables you to analyse available evidence for the role of digital health technologies in health and how nursing leadership can impact the use of digital health technologies in nursing practice.

Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:

  • Describe the theories, processes, and practice of nursing leadership
  • Critically reflect on the influence of nursing leadership on the healthcare ecosystem
  • Apply the principles of data and information management in healthcare delivery
  • Analyse evidence for the role of digital health and technologies in healthcare and describe the role of digital health technologies in nursing practice
  • Explain how nursing leadership impacts the use of digital health and technology in nursing practice

Hurdle

As the minimum requirements of assessment to pass a unit and meet all ULOs to a minimum standard, an undergraduate student must have achieved:

• achieve an overall mark for the unit of 50% or more. Conceded passes are not recognised by the Australian Nursing & Midwifery Accreditation Council therefore conceded passes will not be granted. • tutorials have an 80% attendance requirement as per the Australian Nursing & Midwifery Accreditation Council.
