Overview

Professional practice enables students to consolidate their learning in the field of exercise and sport science by undertaking a minimum of 80 hours in the exercise and sport science industry. Preparatory coursework will be undertaken prior to beginning the practicum within an organisation. Placement in this unit will differ from the one undertaken in Industry Professional Practice 1 to provide a diversity of placement experience.

Learning outcomes

Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:

  • Apply knowledge of and critically reflect on professional conduct, scope of practice of an exercise and sport scientist, risk minimisation and ethical practice required within the workplace
