
Enterprise Network Server Administration
Overview
In this unit, students establish the skills and understanding required to design and configure a Windows Server based enterprise network. Student will build the skills required to design, configure and manage a single domain network.

Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
- Plan and troubleshoot a secure network access strategy
- Plan and Configure advanced IP address management using DHCP and DNS
- Troubleshoot network access
- Plan Windows Server deployment and migration strategies
- Appraise Server role requirements
- Manage Server and Data Security
- Design a policy strategy within an Active Directory infrastructure

Hurdle
As the minimum requirements of assessment to pass a unit and meet all ULOs to a minimum standard, an undergraduate student must have achieved:
(i) An aggregate mark of 50% or more, and(ii) At least 40% in the final exam, and(iii) A Pass grade for the Skills Exam. The criteria for passing the Skills Exam is available in the Unit Outline.Students who do not successfully achieve hurdle requirements (ii) and (iii) will receive a maximum of 45% as the total mark for the unit.
