Intensification of Beef Cattle Production in Upland Cropping Systems in Northwest Vietnam
The aim of this rural development project is to improve household livelihoods in mountainous crop-livestock systems in the North West of Vietnam.
A multidisciplinary team of Vietnamese, Australian and French researchers bring together skills in animal and pasture science, farming systems, market development, and social research, working closely with the Vietnamese Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) to explore how to improve the incomes of smallholder cattle producers through intensification of beef cattle production and better market linkages.
CSI Swinburne researchers are leading the group focused on understanding rural household livelihoods and livelihood transitions via participatory and community-based research.
