with a major in Accounting – Blended learning – on-campus and digital learning
Course rules
To qualify for the Bachelor of Business Analytics and Analysis / Bachelor of Business students must complete 400 credit points as follows:
- Six (6) Business core units of study (75 credit points)
- Six (6) Business Analytics and Analysis core units of study (75 credit points)
- Eight (8) units of study from a Business Analytics and Analysis discipline major (100 credit points)
- Eight (8) units of study from a Business discipline major (100 credit points)
- Four (4) units of study comprising of a minor, advanced minor or electives (50 credit points)
Students may not complete more than 175 credit points (normally 14 units) at Introductory Level (eg: INF1XXXX) A unit of study can only be counted once, where units are shared between majors and/or minors, students must choose an approved alternate.
Domestic students also have an opportunity to undertake a WIL Professional Placement. This option is not available to International Students.

Final Year Experience - Major Projects
As part of the Swinburne Model for Professional Learning, all students in this course will undertake professionally-focused final-year projects as part of their degree. Entry with advanced standing may require alternate study sequences to be undertaken.
Professional Placements
Professional Placements are subject to a competitive selection process. Students who undertake a 12-month professional placement are subject to the following course rules and must complete 500 credit points comprising:
- Six (6) Business core units of study (75 credit points)
- Six (6) Business Analytics and Analysis core units of study (75 credit points)
- Eight (8) units of study from a Business Analytics and Analysis discipline major (100 credit points)
- Eight (8) units of study from a Business discipline major (100 credit points)
- Four (4) units of study comprising of a minor, advanced minor or electives (50 credit points)
- Four [4] Professional Placement units (100 credit points)
Students who elect to undertake a 6-month professional placement are subject to the following course rules and must complete 450 credit points comprising:
- Six (6) Business core units of study (75 credit points)
- Six (6) Business Analytics and Analysis core units of study (75 credit points)
- Eight (8) units of study from a Business Analytics and Analysis discipline major (100 credit points)
- Eight (8) units of study from a Business discipline major (100 credit points)
- Four (4) units of study comprising of a minor, advanced minor or electives (50 credit points)
- Two [2] Professional Placement units (50 credit points
Maximum Academic Credit
The maximum level of credit that can be granted for the Bachelor of Business Analytics and Analysis/Bachelor of Business is 200 credit points (normally 16 units), 100 credit points maximum from each discipline
