2025 Student Guide

Your handy guide to get started smoothly at Swinburne as a new student.
Labour Day public holiday: Monday 10 March 

There will be no on-campus classes held on Labour Day for all Swinburne students.

  • Croydon and Wantirna campuses will be closed
  • The Latelab and Hawthorn campus Library levels 3, 4, and 5 will remain open as usual and be accessible via swipe card (entry via Latelab)
  • StudentHQ and Future StudentHQ will be closed at all campuses, reopening Tuesday 11 March
Upcoming IT outage | Swinburne Data Centre and High-Performance Computing Facility

Due to scheduled infrastructure upgrades, the following networks will be inaccessible from 6am Tuesday 11 March until 12am Friday 14 March:

  • Swinburne research data
  • Swinburne NECTAR Cloud (compute and storage)
  • OzSTAR and Ngarrgu Tindebeek supercomputers
