Welcome to Orientation – this is your First Day

Designed to help you hit the ground running, Orientation is the best way to prepare for your first week of classes and beyond.

Registration and check in 

9.30am – 10.00am

You’ll find the registration booth for your Orientation outside the Library on John Street.

PRO TIP: Campus gets busy during Orientation. Arrive at least 30 minutes before your first session to allow enough time to check in and get where you need to go.

Welcome to Swinburne

10am – 12pm

Get to know Swinburne and your new community. Meet your clubs, hear from current students and ask them any burning questions you may have about life at university. This session will set you up with all the tools and support info available to you throughout your time at Swinburne. Before you attend this session, visit the registration booth outside the Library on John Street.

Lunchtime Mingle

12pm – 2pm

Grab lunch on the house and chill with your new friends. The Lunchtime Mingle is also the perfect time to take a stroll and check out the clubs and service stalls.

PRO TIP: Make sure you join a campus tour and get to know all the cool spots around Swinburne.

Course induction – consider this your first class

2pm – 4pm

Meet your teachers, connect with your peers and learn everything there is to know about your course. Your course induction is the best place to get answers to your questions and start building your network before classes officially begin.
