Dr Rockie Kuok
Biography
Dr. Rockie Kuok is a Lecturer at the Department of Aviation in the School of Engineering, Swinburne University of Technology. He holds a PhD in Business Administration (with a focus on aviation and tourism economics/econometrics) from the University of Macau. The studies of his PhD thesis have been published in high-quality peer-reviewed journals including Annals of Tourism Research and the Journal of Travel Research. He has also passed the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 and Level 2 exams.
Prior to joining Swinburne, he was an A320 airline pilot (First Officer) based in Macau and has obtained around 600 hours (220 flight legs) on commercial flights and safely performed around 110 take-offs and landings as pilot-flying. He received his initial flying training at Ecole Nationale de l'Aviation Civile (ENAC), France, holding EASA commercial pilot licences.
